Why do this?

Hi! My name is Ryan.  I am 13 years old, and I want to help raise money for breast cancer research.  Golf is my favorite sport and it is a great way to help raise money for a worthy cause.

I went with my mom one time to take Grandma for radiation back in April 2017 at Nebraska Medicine.  While I was there, I knew right away that I wanted to do my part to help with breast cancer research as my Grandma had Stage 4 breast cancer.

She was able to benefit from the fairly new oral chemotherapy called Ibrance and it gave her about an extra year with us.

Grandma did spend time at Nebraska Medicine for about 2 weeks before she passed away.  She received great care there and all of her Doctors and Surgeons fought her cancer with everything they had. But the cancer ended up spreading and could not be stopped.

Before Grandma passed away, I told her that I wanted to have a golf tournament to help breast cancer patients.  She looked at me and smiled and told me that I can do this, and I want to.

Please join me on Wednesday,

June 13th, 2018 from

12 noon to 5 pm at

Indian Creek Golf Course

Thank you,

Ryan

Here I am (in blue) with my  little brother, Nathan.  We made the Final Four Semi-Finals for the Nebraska Junior Golf Tour in August of 2017.

We are at the Josie Harper Hospice House the day before she passed away.
